STOP PRESS: RESULTS RBYC Williwaw Trophy 2017 Results

Easter Sunday 2018 falls on 1st April, so we can provisionally say the dates for the Williwaw Trophy next year will be Saturday 31st March and Sunday 1st April 2018. Why not use this date as your target to get your boat in the water and ready to race for 2018? Racing for this prestigious trophy is currently under IRC and NHC (NHC being the replacement of PY racing for Cruisers, so a form of local handicap), and those wishing only to sail with "white sails" would be welcomed. If you have ideas on how to encourage entries, whether it be additional classes or  amended format, please speak to a member of the Sailing Committee.

The Williwaw Regatta is to be held over the Easter Weekend, Saturday 15th and Sunday 16th April 2017. We offer racing for cruisers under NHC Handicap and IRC.

You can download the NOR here Williwaw NOR 2017

The sailing instructions are available here Williwaw sailing instructions 2017

You will see in the sailing instructions, start times to show warning signals as below, this replaces those shown in the Notice of Race.

Saturday 15th April 2017            Cruisers Warning 09:55  Race 1

Saturday 15th April 2017           Cruisers Warning 14:35  Race 2

Sunday 16th April 2017           Cruisers Warning 09:55  Race 3

Although the RBYC is the organising authority, the starts and finishes will be from the RCYC race box.

The entry form is available here Williwaw 2017 Entry

We look forward to seeing you for fun racing and early season preparation with a traditional RBYC Welcome and social programme, culminating in Lunch and Prize Giving at the club on Sunday afternoon from 1300.
